Driver killed after Fort Worth police chase ends in crash off I-35W
A police pursuit early Sunday ended in a fatal crash near Tarver Road after officers said the driver hit two vehicles and fled southbound on Interstate 35W.

A man was killed early Sunday after a Fort Worth police pursuit ended in a crash near Tarver Road. Police said officers first spotted the vehicle around 2:34 a.m. on Interstate 35W near Rosedale Street, where it was traveling without headlights and struck another car before continuing south.
According to police, officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled and hit a second car during the chase. The vehicle later exited near Tarver Road, where officers briefly lost sight of it before finding it crashed off the roadway in the 1500 block of Tarver Road.
Police said two adult men were inside the vehicle. The passenger got out with minor injuries and was taken to a hospital, while the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers or other civilians were reported injured. Fort Worth police said the Traffic Investigations Unit and Major Case Unit are investigating.
