"Kick Every Dirty Muslim Out", Republican Candidate's Inflammatory Rhetoric Sparks National Outrage
Latest Escalation in Pattern of Extremism
The public opinion has strongly criticized Republican congressional candidate Valentina Gomez because she recorded a video on December 1, 2025, where she promised to remove all Muslims from Texas. The 26-year-old Colombian-born candidate, Valentina Gomez, runs for Texas’s 31st Congressional District in the 2026 election while using inflammatory language to attack Muslims through her campaign.
The video shows Gomez saying to voters that she will remove all Muslims from Texas while protecting her daughters from rape by Muhammad and soldiers from daylight murders. The footage on X (formerly Twitter) received more than 827 responses because it follows Gomez’s ongoing practice of attacking Muslim populations, although Muslims make up less than 1% of Texas residents.
“The Worst Place” for Muslims
Gomez declared in her December video statement that she would transform Texas into the most undesirable residence for groomers, terrorists, Muslims, pedophiles, and illegal immigrants, according to We Got This Covered. Gomez attacked what she called “weak Republicans” for letting Muslims enter Texas. At the same time, she spread false information about New York City, Michigan, and Minnesota becoming Islamic territories, according to the original report. Rikki Schott labeled Gomez an “abomination” in a video he shared on his X platform, and the public strongly disapproved of her words. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), together with multiple civil rights organizations, has repeatedly denounced Gomez’s statements because they create religious freedom threats and social unrest that lead to Muslim community violence.
A History of Provocative Stunts
Gomez first garnered national attention in August 2025 when she posted a video using a flamethrower to burn a copy of the Quran while declaring her intention to “end Islam” in Texas, according to The Independent, In that video, she stated: “Your daughters will be raped, and your sons beheaded, unless we stop Islam once and for all,” before igniting the Islamic holy book. She defended her actions afterward, posting on X: “I stand by my actions & I will never bend a knee to the book that is responsible for the massacre of October 7th, took the lives of 13 U.S service members at Abbey Gate, & calls for our assassination,” NDTV reported. In May 2025, Gomez disrupted a Muslim civic engagement event at the Texas State Capitol by storming the stage, snatching the microphone, and launching into an anti-Islam rant while wearing a hijab she subsequently removed, according to Al Jazeera and Georgetown University’s Bridge Initiative.
The Irony of Immigration Background
Gomez was born in Medellín, Colombia, in 1999, and her family legally emigrated to the United States in 2009, settling in Jersey City before she later moved into real estate and politics. The irony of an immigrant candidate taking an extreme anti-immigration stance has not been lost on observers, including Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who responded to one of her previous videos by posting: “She is not just an American fascist. She is Colombian. And being a migrant, what she wants is to unleash hatred against migrants,” according to The Independent. We Got This Covered noted that “Gomez doesn’t even claim to be a Texan,” which presents challenges when trying to win over proud Texas voters. Her campaign page describes her as “the most Pro-Gun candidate in history” and bizarrely promises she will become “the best stock trader in history and post trades on X,” the original article reported.
Rising Anti-Muslim Climate in America
Gomez’s campaign occurs within a broader context of escalating anti-Muslim rhetoric in American politics. The Council on American-Islamic Relations documented a record 8,658 anti-Muslim incidents in 2024, marking a 7.4 percent increase from the previous year and the highest number since CAIR began tracking such data in 1996. In Texas specifically, the conservative group True Texas Project circulated an email in September 2025 disparaging “multiple elected positions filled by Middle Easterners” just days before the September 11 anniversary, while Governor Greg Abbott repeatedly posted about banning “Sharia law and Sharia cities” without evidence that such establishments exist. News analysis found that since 2015, local and state Republican officials in virtually every state have engaged in anti-Muslim rhetoric, with hostility towards Muslims from some Republicans receiving little to no pushback from fellow conservatives.
Electoral Prospects and Political Reality
Gomez gained internet fame through her provocative behavior, but her political campaign has resulted in multiple election losses. The Independent reported that Gomez received 7.4% of the vote in the 2024 Missouri Republican primary for Secretary of State, placing sixth out of eight candidates. The Texas 31st District election presents a tough battle for Gomez because John Carter has held the seat since 2002, and X analysis shows she maintains strong institutional support. The Independent suggests her political approach depends on media attention because she has no significant achievements in her political career. The 2026 election will show if Gomez’s provocative statements will attract voters and Republican supporters who prefer conventional Republican candidates.
