Private Contractor Dies After Water Main Break in Frisco, confirm Police
Victim not identified until next of kin informed
Frisco Police and Fire Departments responded to a water rescue at the intersection of Eldorado Parkway and Independence Parkway.
On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at approximately 1:21 pm, Frisco Police and Fire Departments responded to the intersection of Eldorado Parkway and Independence Parkway for a water rescue.
Contractors with a private construction crew were working on a main water line when the line ruptured, quickly filling the access well/safety box with water. Two contractors were inside the safety box at the time. One was able to escape; tragically, the other was later found deceased.
The exact cause of the incident remains under investigation by OSHA and relevant safety authorities.
Police said out of respect for the family, the victim’s identity will not be released at this time.
